I thought the power train warranty was 3 years or 36,000 miles before the 2007 model year.

Technically, defective spark plugs are covered under the emissions warranty. It's in the warranty manual, page 13. Good luck getting Ford to honor it.

1 = keep the plugs in
2 = drive car till 99,000 miles
3 = sell car to teenage kid
4 = take money and buy new mustang GT

It's a roll of the dice. It can work in your favor, it might not.

Mine was a risk that paid off. Pulled mine a little before 30k. Bit of a PITA , but all 8 came out.

When JDM did the SC install he took out the spark plugs, and granted I only had around 5K on the car, they came out with very little torque and thank goodness none of them broke (should of took a video, but didn't).

If I remember correctly, the TSB only really applies with an engine built before 4/08. The date will be on the covers I believe. Also, when doing the SC install I notice dates on either side of the engine (under the intake assembly).

JDM was going to replace them with the one that came with the kit, but when with these instead (from Ford Racing according to the bigger box):

I believe the latest spark plug replacement TSB is #069-2008-1155, which covers 05-08 Mustangs.

I pulled my plugs at ~15,000 miles without issue, and put in Champions. I've been running those about 12,000 miles without issue.

They changed the plugs in certain years.

Those are the plugs that are used with the new heads that were redesigned for later model 08's and thereafter.
