Yeah you just got a bad install. If installed correctly, gears don't need a break-in period. When I picked mine up after 4.10's were put in, my shop told me there was no need for a break-in period and that I could go WOT leaving the shop. That I did... 5 times in a row. They are just as quiet as my stock gears. Sounds like your shop is willing to take care of your whine though. I was also not as impressed as I was expecting, but I think I was too hyped up and expecting too much. They impress me more and more with time, and Bamachips still hasn't sent me a re-tune after 20 days of waiting... so whenever I get the new tunes it should pull harder. I really wish he was faster with this kind of stuff - my automatic is shifting weird and it's my DD.

I now have both tunes (Brenspeed, Bama) Might try out the Brenspeed just for kicks. The standard bama race tune with 4.10s really kicks it in the crotch from a dead stop!

noice!

I put 3.73s in my 01 and it was one of the reasons why I got rid of the car.

Just get forged parts and a blower. Then you can have the looks and not have to worry about the motor. When it comes down to it that's all the cobra is-a mustang with forged internals

Between the cost of the forged parts, the blower, and installing all of that he'll probably save money with the terminator. From his posts it seems like cost is an issue here.

meh.. nope.. nobody wants IRS, it's lame

low mileage GT500 for 35k vs higher mileage Cobra for 25k.. tough choice.. I guess if you cant afford the payments for 35k then cobra is the way to go. I've never liked the new edge look but I did see a black termi that looked awesome and made me start thinking differently about it. Although I didn't see it from the front and that's the angle i don't like

They had this one down to 37,500 at one point, i was very tempted to trade my car in and get it. Now they jacked it back up to $45000, go figure.
