Thanks for all of the great info vasman, I really appreciate it. Luckily my buddy has every tool under the sun so I think we're covered from the standpoint. All I have to do is provide lunch and beer. :-)
I heard the Kooks w/catted X along with the Corsa's (which I have) and it was pure awesomeness... that hooked me on the Kooks and when you factor in build quality, fitment and performance it's a win win to me.
Where in TX are you? I'm about 25 miles NE of Houston.

Would these be any good? What kinda of issues would i have if i installed them myself?

All long tubes do need new mid-pipes... most shorties can reuse the stock mid-pipe.
That being said Kooks and ARH are actually mid-length headers... not full long tubes. Thus I think you can only use their mid-pipes.
