I'm pretty sure I hit 2nd gear rather than 4th because I remember pushing the shift **** diagonally up & right to go back into 3rd.

It's quite possible it was the TCS like some of you mentioned. It did feel like power was cut when that happened.

I miss having mechanically operated throttles. All this electronically controlled stuff is scary sometimes.

I was going to write this until I read this post and stopped reading. When I take off hard with the blower the TCS stops me dead in my tracks.

It was definitely your traction control, try that exact scenario with the T/C OFF.

This happened to me when I was next to my v6 bud... Made my car look like the v6

Im not a genius on the subject but i dont think its the traction control....i've had this happen to myself.....and I'm pretty OCD about the traction control.....I always have it off.....this happened to me one time when i was on the hwy doing the exact same thing.....I dropped it from 4th to 3rd....and hammered it....honestly I think it may have something to do with how low our cars sit and the pinion angle not being set properly.....It used to happen alot more before I took it in to get my front end re-aligned.....just my experience....

they fixed the pinion angle as best they could....and i have the eibach sportline springs

Ive had this happen to me once before when i went to pass someone, downshifted into second at about 35 and floored it and blaaaaahhh I just figured it was because of the traction control ever since then right after i start the car i turn it off and make sure those little tcs letters are orange and i have never had the prob since so in my experience I would definitely say that is what it was.

Put money on it ..High RPM = Traction control. Stops you dead in your tracks!
