Default Hooker Shorty Headers?

Anyone running the Hooker shorty headers?

http://www.holley.com/6138-1HKR.asp

These retail for over $600 for the ceramic coated ones, but I found a set for sale locally for $450 (brand new, still in box) and I'm wondering if it's worth it. I've been thinking about getting some anyone, but I was leaning towards the JBA's.

Anyone have any experience with Hooker Headers on a 3V?

Those look the same as the FRPP headers. They are not tuned like the JBA shorties are. I would stick with the JBAs.

You sure on that? This is direct from the vendors website:

"Mandrel-bent, tuned-length primary tubes for decreased backpressure, improved throttle response & increased exhaust velocity"

They look the same as the BBKs. You can get the BBKs ceramic coated and shipped for $390 from brenspeed and they will update your tune for you. If you are going to spend $450, go to latemodelrestoration.com and get the JBA shorties for $440 shipped. They have smoother bends and theoretically should make more power than the BBKs/Hookers. I put the JBA shorties in my car and I can't be happier.
