I hate to jinx you, but a buddy of mine drove through a deep puddle in his '01 GT and had the same symptoms as you for several days. I found a hole in his block the size of a pencil eraser. His only option was a new engine.

ok, so now that the rain has stopped I bought a new air filter, put an additive to the oil (sea"something") and fuel additive (not octane booster, but some "heating" liquid that absorbs 5x more moisture than other brands) after the oil change. Along with that I went ahead and got a full tank of premium fuel. The additives are found at wal-mart in case some1 else has the same prob, well now u know. Runs like a charm now! Thanks guys for the help and advise

from wat i remember your only supposed to put that through the vaccum lines to clean out the system NOT in the oil. i used it once before on a car i had a rough idle with and couldnt get it to go away with a tune up and the seafoam really helped out. but im pretty darn sure your not supposed to use it like that, unless theres more than one way to use it...http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showt...hp?t=123637100

the only thing i found about putting seafoam in ur oil said to only do it for ten miles then change your oil because it thins your oil out. just google "how to use seafoam " or what is seafoam for"

its ok to put it in the oil. 1/3 in the gas tank, 1/3 in the oil, and 1/3 in the vacuum line is what most people do. some recommend changing the oil after you use it but idk about that.
