I had BSM send me stripes that were set up for the factory hood scoop. I ran into the problem that the hood scoop and hood moved independantly enough to cause the stripes to wrinkle in the corner areas of the hood scoop. I paid a guy to cut my stripes about 1/4 inch outside of the hood scoop and haven't had a problem since. As someone else explained above, you should place your new hood scoop on the hood, on top of your new stripes (order the ones that don't have a hood scoop cutout) .....then use some 1/4" tape (or wider if you desire) to mark the outside of of your hood scoop. Then, after removing your hood scoop, cut on the outside of the tape and remove your stripe material that would have been underneath your scoop. Maybe you can have your stripe installer do this as part of his installation. After this..........you just install your hood scoop with the 3M tape and you're good to go!!!

Here are a couple of pictures of how my hood scoop looks now, with my stripes trimmed out from under it:

Just go with a Roush hood scoop, the installation was a piece of cake. Just remember to measure 3 times and drill once. I installed mine in a half hour.

Did you do this when you first got yours installed or did you do it later on after the stripes had been there and you decided to put a scoop on the hood? Also.. what kind of scoop do you have?

One more thing... if you did this at the time of install on the stripes.
I was wondering... COULD you do this and add a scoop at a later point in time if you put the stripes on and waited say half a yr? Or would you need to have the stripes removed and redone?

Thx!

Oh yeah one more thing.. what size stripes are those?
