TPMS Sensors
yeah, i think im going to buy that programmer from americanmuscle, cause my dealer is trying to give me the run around saying oh its gonna take atleast an hour" yeah okay im not stupid and i even told him that, as far from what i heard from alot of you guys here it shouldnt take no longer then 15 min, there trying to charge me for an hour's work 95$ a hour haha nah im good...As for the sensors going off now when i start the car the light doesnt come on untill about 20 min into the ride then it does, also my stock tires are right infront of my car when i park it so that may be why? So im guessing if the sensors was brokin or one of them the light would come on immediately? idunno but im going to talk to the manager tomorrow about this cause my car is suppose to be buffed by them cause of a terrible experiance with them with my car so im gonna say while they due that fix my sensor problem..
I've never seen any cold hard facts about this but...
I got my new wheels and sensors a while back and still haven't programmed them yet. I've been too lazy to go down to ford. I still have my stock wheels in my garage at home. I don't get any warning lights in my car at all until I drive 30 miles (approximately) from home. then the light stays on, and shows when I start the car, until I return home and it picks up the original sensors again and the light turns off again.
It seems like it allows for no sensor communication for some time before it gives up on the sensor and throws a TPMS Fault.
