no its not if he already used it on his car. You will have to get it unlocked I believe.

One month old, or one year old, it's still used and $300, is too much to pay.
You can buy a brand new one for $380 with tunes.

They're right. $300 is too high. For$380-$400 you can get a brand new one with 3 tunes. Another thing...you'd only have to get it unlocked if the previous owner did NOT return it to stock.

The only way to be sure if it was returned to stock would be to plug it in and see if "return to stock" was an option. If "return to stock" is an option, well then it hasn't been returned to stock. If its not an option, they you're good.

If you have an auto, I'd go with Bama (IMO)...it'll cost you $400.00 though.
If you have a manual, Brenspeed has the $380.00 kit, Bama's is $400.00. I don't know how much of a difference there is between the their manual tunes.

Not really if you get a custom tune. But if you plan on getting dyno tuned at a shop its better to find a shop you like and see what they use.

One thing to think about when buying a tuner is resale. SCT uses the same exact model for most makes models and years of FORD's. The Diablo is make and model specific so you have a smaller market when selling. Plus not as many people make custom tunes for the Diablo. Now I'm speaking for vehicles other than mustangs because obviously Bama and Brenspeed tune Diablo's. I can't find anyone to custom tune my F250 w/ Diablo...

You cant just plug it in and use it with the tuners it has in it, unless.....
Make sure that the stratagy code for the tunes
matches your stratagy code on your PCM.
He will own that tuner until he dies if he wants
$300 for it.
It must be unlocked for it to be any good to you at all.....
