Default jba LT quick question

for all those who told me the stock studs would work with the jba LTs are wrong. they hit the headers when you put them on since they are so long. So whats my best option now? My car is half apart and was hoping to finish this tonight but I guess I cant. Where can I get a new set of header bolts fast? Do you think a local place would have them? If not what and where should I get a set?

Just a quick suggestion. When you have a question that specific just call up JBA, they will know the answer and it'll be quick instead of waiting around for an answer on a forum. I would suggest picking up Stage 8 locking bolts, but you're gonna have to order those puppies. My recommendation is to take a stud out and go to your local Home Depot or Lowe's or whatever you have and pick up a set of 16 bolts that will work for the time being. Then I would order the locking fasteners and switch them later. At least it will get the car driveable for the time being.

yea I was going to call around including jba but everything is closed now so I thought I would just throw this up here. It looks like the locking FRPP or stage 8 bolts are the way to go. Maybe theres a place local that has them. Buying some cheap bolts for the time being is not a bad idea.

Got the headers in. Extremely difficult. Especially since I was on my own. Whoever said all I needed were 2 O2 extensions is wrong again. I need one more. Looks like there are two different kinds of connections. 2 have green connectors and 2 have blue ones. The O2 sensor extensions I bought are for the blue ones. I need one for the green one. Anyone know where I can get them? I called around locally and no one has them. Also can I just install the O2 sensor and not have it connected for a few days so at least I can drive the car around?

They i would install it just because if you dont you will have a nice exhaust leak, but either way, your CEL will be on. Have you tried to put the "blue extension into the green connector and see if you run any CEL? It might not matter. Did the extensions you have come with the headers? Not all companies to but i know a few that do. If not, which set of 02 extensions did you get. I can get you BBK extensions if you need them just lemme know.

jba includes extensions in their kit but I bought mine used from a guy and he just gave me the headers and nothing else. I was planning on plugging the actual sensor in the hole just not connecting the wires. I called JBA and they said the front two senors should be plugged in but the back two are less important but may still throw a code. I think Im just going to buy another set of extensions. I think Im going to buy the same extensions I bought before but thanks though.

Ok sounds good. Also, im not sure if SCT or diablo still has this option in the programming, but if you have one of those tuners you could your tuner and ask them to send you a tune with those 2 02 sensors disabled... but im not sure if that will work anymore.
