I have 2 little ones too and I get 2 car seats in the back no problem, however I am not the tallest person. Anyway.....keep it!!!! They are not worth much in resale and like someone said earlier, it will be hard to get another muscle car again.

Keep it!!!!

Darn! One post too late. I was going to suggest you see how much you could get for the wife.

the kids will be albe to ride in the back safely for a long time, you do have two built in child seat retention points in it, might as well use them, and the mustang is a very safe car.

If you can find a way to keep it, do it. I am married with two kids. The Mustang is my weekend car, so when there is a "family" function I drive my conversion van.

If you can find a private buyer on eBay or locally, you might be able to get 25-35% of the cost of the mods on top of the blue book price. Of course, finding a buyer is more difficult on a modified car. I know I wouldn't buy a modded one personally.

I've decided this Mustang is probably the last car I'm going to modify to any great extent. I broke my own rule this time around. I had previously mandated that I would not add anything to the car that couldn't be uninstalled within an hour or two myself in the garage with simple hand tools (tune, exhaust, CAI, etc). The next time around, I'm just going to buy a faster car to begin with.

The last heavily modified car I had was a 2003 WRX (had probably $15k into that thing). I ended up selling it to a local enthusiast oriented Subaru dealer for about $2000 above blue book. I wouldn't doubt this Mustang will eventually end up that way.

Keep it if at all possible and baby it or you'll be stuck driving an econobox for the next 20 years.

Jesus - I bought a garage that came with a house AND the car on the same day, the house first, as soon as I got back to work from signing the papers I saw the car and had to have it...I had the girlfreind then too, now we are engaged, planning on tying the knot next summer, I am fairly lenient with most things but the Mustang isn't one of them. She knows, understands and supports my addiction for horsepower and gas powered toys and has never tried to get in the middle. Good girl. The farthest she's ever taken it is hinting at giving her the keys.... ha!

I guess I am lucky in that I don't have pressure from the other half to get rid of my toys, because I would have a hard time with that. My suggestion, if it isnt obvious, KEEP IT!!!
