Personally and from experience, if you get rid of the Stang, you may not find the ability to get back into a muscle car for a long time. After selling my Camaro many years ago after the arrival of my 2nd kid and buying a new house, the chances to get back into a muscle car kept alluding me until the kids were out of and nearly out of college. My suggestion is to try to find a way to keep it if you can.

Before getting married I talked to plenty of friends/family about me wanting to get a mustang, and overwhelmingly I was told to get it NOW because it will evolve into a very long time before you do. I guess you will always find other ways to spend the money on things other than the stang. Earlier this year we bought our first house and the stang has a place in the garage. My wife and I just celebrated our one year wedding anniversary, and drove the stang to florida for the weekend .

It's a part of the family now.

It's worth what a stock GT is worth. All those parts won't really get you anything above the standard blue book price.
Go to KBB.com to see.

Your best way to get good money is to pull off all the mods and sell them here or on eBay or Craigslist.
Then sell the car as stock, which is what will draw the most potential buyers. There are few buyers who will want a Mustang that has been modified; they want to do it themselves. If you have the original parts, take the time and pull the mods and sell them or you'll be out thousands of dollars.
You've got good mods, and a built in crowd here waiting for most of them!

OPer: Hopefully you can work out a way to keep it, but if not you shouldn't have any issues selling your mods.

I'm married with one little one, and another on the way. KEEP THE CAR! Like everyone else said, you wont get any money for your mods, and it'll be a long long time before you get something cool again. My daughter is almost 2, and from birth she has always loved riding in daddy's car. She has a Simpson racing baby seat. The mustang can be part of your family. I bought mine when my wife was just a few months pregnant. I considered it my last big toy. One day I hope to pass it to my daughter.
