Default how common were the leaking problems??

I was wondering how common the leaking problems are with the 05-09 GT's. was the problem cured with the '07 and later models??

Got an 05 and i had a huge leak. The first time i drove the car after it was raining all day, it sounded like someone was pouring water in the passenger side footwell. I have fixed it since than.

Fairly common i'd say and unless you lift up your carpet on the passenger side, you may never know it's leaking. Mine leaked enough to make the insulation wet, but not enough to soak through the carpet.

My '07 leaked. Not bad enough to soak the floor so I'd see that it was leaking, just bad enough to get into the SJB and mess with the electronics. Good times.

I had it and it was fixed as per the TSB. That was a couple years ago, and no more problems since. It was most previlent in 05,and 06 models, but I have heard of some folks with later year models having the problem.

+10 I think probably a fair amount of these cars may have some variation of this leak problem and their owners will never know it. I would bet that a large percentage of these cars probably rarely see heavy rain, are garage queens, sunny day driven, etc, and as stated it's not something that is easily recognizable unless you're actively looking.

I had my 06 car for 7+ months as a daily driver before noticing that I had this problem, and actually I didn't even find it myself; a friend riding in the passenger seat had sandals on and happen to kick them off in the car and noticed that the entire carpet (including my stock mats) were soaked. That's when I started paying attention (thought I had left the window open or something), and sure enough, the next rain storm I had another soaking wet carpet.

That said, my 08 is dry as can be (and I checked it A LOT in the first few months I had it, and still do every once in a while, just because of all the bad memories).
