Since a rebalance of the fronts fixed my problem, I doubt it was wheels... more than likely just someone being sloppy with the balance the first time around.

I guess what I was pointing towards wasn't necessarily a "defective" wheel, just some characteristic about how it's made that makes it more difficult to balance. If that makes any sense...?

I'm sure there was definitely some sloppiness with the balance. Which is kinda funny, cause for me it means the Ford dealer was sloppy........who would have imagined?!?!

Any luck from the OP?

I think the clips are originally used to keep the brakes on the wheel during installation at the factory. The clips don't interfere with any of the stock wheels. However, I guess it intereferes with some aftermarket wheels. The clips prevent the wheel from properly seating on the and results in vibration and wobble.
