+1000000 on the k-member brace and torque limiters. I had no idea how much of an effect they'd have...the car is even more WONDERFUL to drive now.

Again I think a lot of people are assuming what you mean.

How would you best describe it?:

A: Is moving the actual shifter not smooth? For example is your arm physically moving the shifter difficult?

Or

B. is the car itself jumpy when you shift? Like the car "jolts" when you shift?

If its A, then the K brace and Motor Mounts are supposed to help that issue.

If its B, its just you, and you just need more practice.

Your probably releasing the clutch to fast while rpm's are low which is causing the car to jolt or even shake a little!!
I suggest releasing the clutch slower and practice until you find the sweet spot of the clutch!!
When i'm cruising i usually just shift at 2k rpm idk what rpm your shifting at while cruising??

idk my friend said im good but hes been driving manuals for like 7 years so his shifts are pretty much perfect... he said that i shift a little slow...so i guess i gotta practice on that... so i figured maybe the rpms were dropping to quick since im at 5k rpms and then they drop a little by the time i get in 2nd gear so the car doesnt really smoothly going into 2nd if that makes sense

Most of that is just practice and finesse. Just keep working on it and it will come with time.

Personally, when I'm driving like that I'm usually too worried about smoothness anyways. I only worry about that when I'm just cruising and/or have someone else in the car with me.

I had the same problem when i first started. It gets easy as you get used to it.
