Default Ordering an 06 GT?

I have never ordered a car through a dealer before. Can anybody help get me up to speed on what to expect? A few things I'm wondering about are the MSRP of the base 06 GT and will they honor the x-plan. Any help will be appreciated .

Thanks,
Danny

It all seems to vary from dealer to dealer. There are a few good dealers out there, but the bad far outweigh the good. Shop around!

Default RE: Ordering an 06 GT?

Just went through the process myself for the first time. Pretty painless overall. I found a dealer that honored x-plan on an 05; I haven't taken delivery yet, but hopefully the deal will not change when the car is actually delivered.

So far, the salesman has mostly acted as an order taker/processor. You will learn much more about the car on boards like this than the average salesman -- so count on being more informed about the process and the vehicle.

My 05 Black GT Conv. is set to be built on 8/01 -- but it is all just theory until I am driving it down the road....

By the way, I did not have to submit a deposit and I would hope that you could find a similar situation. It is not fair for dealerships to expect deposits when delivery dates are indefinite (just my 2 cents, but it worked in my deal).
