Default 2010 Mustang GT My Color Gauges!?!?!

hey guys, I purchased a 2010 Gt and I got the deluxe coupe, I wanted the my color option but it was only on the Premimum GT well I called around and it seems like no one that works at ford parts departments know what they are talking about. One guy told me I cannot have the My color gauges because they are wired to a specific model. And that I could not just buy the 6 gauge cluster, and that it would not work on my GT. Is there any truth to this I thought it was a basic plug n Play!

I'm also very interested in this. I've been reading forum posts here and there this evening talking about other people swapping out gauge clusters on 2005s and 2007s so it would only make sense that this would be the case for our 2010s.

I'll call my dealer tomorrow and see what they can come up with. I purchased mine in Michigan and I've found those folks to be a bit more knowledgeable.. being so close to corporate headquarters and such.

So I'll call tomorrow and post what I learn.

Good luck, and hopefully we can figure this out.. I want purple gauges.. srsly!!!

GreyGhost, are you getting a 2011 5.0 too? Why go through the trouble of gauges if you are getting another?

Probably for security reasons to keep the odometer accurate.

07_stang Look at the date of the original post... in July the 5.0 was still just a rumor
