I read further into your post, and have to say no on the hypertech. It's a common mistake, as most of us heard nothing but good things about hypertech say when we were in high school. Check out Brenspeed or Bamachips for custom tunes and intake packages. Hell, if you buy your headers from Brenspeed, they will tune it for free to correct for the headers (if they need to). Your not going to gain much out of just shorties. Your putting that much into it, get long tubes, catted mid pipe, intake, and tune. And why the hell are you paying that much for exhaust?

i would stay away from the catted mid pipe, if you don't live in a emission area, they are at least 2x as much if not 3x as an o/r and the o/r sound WAY better then the catted, plus less restriction. go with bama for the best tune, best $50 i ever spent. gears go with the 3.73, just remember to give them at least 600 miles, 1000 preferably, of "granny driving" then change the gear oil

Just my .02 on what you've said...

- Get 3.73's for an automatic, it has the same final drive ratio as 4.10's do in a 5spd
- I am 110% sure I saw the Roush Body Kit on another site for about $1800+$200 sipping, I will look into that for you later
- If you're going to make the car more "show" before "go", I would say don't half *** it and get all your visual mods first, including the body kit, louvers, lights, hood, rims, springs, and anything else that is visual that you may want to do to the car.
- Shorties are a great upgrade from the stock headers, but you do know that if you get long tubes, the gains are better, especially in boosted applications. Also, if the expense of another midpipe is a problem, you could have someone cut your stock H-Pipe and re weld the flanges on and use that as your midpipe? I did it for my long tubes and it ran me all of $50. Also, MAC Long Tubes run $399 and you're about to drop $340 for shorties? Not worth it IMHO
- Get an SCT SF3 or a Diablosport Tuner instead of the chip. The tuner is a much more versatile tool that you will grow to appreciate... also, even with a $50 tune, you could get the SCT for $420 as opposed to the over $500 you were going to spend on that chip
- If you want to get locking lug nuts, I have Gorilla brand locks on mine... ALL 20 LUGS are wheels locks and they cost me $60 instead of the ridiculous $120 you were going to spend on just 4
- I got my Roush Louvers on eBay for $149 as opposed to the $400 youre about to spend

dam, that is a long list of "show" mods......this is a perfect example of the difference in mustang owners. i prefer 'go' to 'show' any day, but if done correctly, your list of mods will look killer. good luck

Well he did say he was looking at "legal exhaust" or whatever so I figured he wanted a catted pipe.

well after looking into it, we were both wrong, the "legal exhaust" has nothing to do with the midpipe, as we both thought. it has to due to the sound the muffler, as that is all it is, rather it is legal, below sound level of the law, aka cal. decibel levels, or o/r sound, above the legal sound of production vehicles. so i would not recommend buying either becuase you are spending $730 for mufflers, WAAAAYYYYYYYYYY TO MUCH FOR MUFFLERS, even though they are roush, just buy mufflers you like and you can buy the tips by themselves

+1 on buying the Roush tips separate. The Roush mufflers are severely overpriced.
