Default 2008 Mustang Bullitt

Hey, i just got my first car, a 2008 mustang bullitt. Im not the most knowledgable person when it comes to mods but im curious to know what some people would add to a car like mine to add horsepower with not spending a whole lot of money.
Thanks

Welcome to a new Bullithead!!! You will love it. Go to IMBOC.com and register. International Mustang Bullitt Owners Club.

There are 2 views on modding a Bullitt. One is don't do anything you can't easily reverse. To preserve the original integrity of the special edition.

The other is it's your car and money so do what you want.

In any event you should get a tune. The Bullitt cai is comparable to most so no need to spend that money. Tuner with 3 tunes about $400. I believe the best performance mod for the money.

I have an 09 and have Brenspeed tunes. That's the only performance mod I plan to make. But that's me.

There are lots of opinions on the forums at IMBOC.

Beyond custom tunes (the best bang-for-the-buck in your case), there's not a lot that can add any reasonable power without getting into cams and LT headers. The tune will add roughly 20 RWHP, maybe a bit more or less, to your Bullitt. After that it's 3 RWHP here, 5 there. But if you're willing to do a lot of the small stuff including some of the weight saving mods, all those 3's and 5's and such add up.

I agree with the tune. Another good bang-for-the-buck would be in the suspension. Lower control arms will help your Mustang launch and corner better.
