I have a 2008 Gt 5spd and have always been a little pissed that when i pull the e-brake at any speed nothing really happens. I've talked to other stang owners and their's is the same way. Is there any way i could reconfigure it so that it will lock up the back tires? does anyone sell any sort of kit that could help me with this? thanks for any help or opinions.

Use the clutch and when you want to turn it sideways just unleash your torque to the wheels and turn your steering wheel always worked for me Our local community college has a ~1 mile oval around it, people may or may not have seen me drifting it a few years ago

 

How old are you? If you can't immediately figure out how to get you vehicle sideways, just quit because when you do figure it out, it won't be pretty.

 

possible that Ford did this on purpose to keep people from breaking shyte..including the driver from doing BONEHEAD things like yank the emergency break at any speed and possibly losing control and killing himself or others

 

Tires are just too grippy on these cars for this type of thing. I'm sure you could get it tightened enough that it would work but I really don't see the point. This sort of thing is generally only useful on a front wheel drive car.

Most rear disc brake cars with stock rear won't lock up no matter how hard you pull on it. Drums will so you could convert to rear drums or learn to do it with out.
