Driving the car w/ touching headers..?
I would not bend (with heat) the headers you will only weaken the material of the headers/ create hairline cracks near the flanges from the stress of bending. If I was in your shoes I would have the headers cut near the flange (not completely off just enough to bend the tube) then full weld to eliminate any form of leaks or fatigue. The proper way to weld the stainless is with a TIG welder, MIG is too inconsistent unless you have the correct shielding gas/ wire.

ok so got car back last week and man does the hurst and 4.10's make the mustang way better. as for the longtubes they werent able to install them because they said that they did not clear. i will upload pics later for u guys to see where the headers hit

You're correct in your statement about motor mounts having nothing to do with FITMENT but they allow the engine to move under load causing contact.
