Be careful using rubber to isolate the rattle. They don't call them "heat" shields for nothing...

LoL yeah thats very true I didnt even think of that...thanks!! i need to get under the car again to see what would be the best route to take...

I had what I thought was an exhaust rattle, come to find out it was the fiberglass shield covering the gas tank.

I still recommend checking the exhaust pipe clamp bolts and give them all (midpipe AND axleback) an extra 1/4 - 1/2 turn (or more if they feel like they can take it) before anything else. It's the easiest thing to try and HAS been a known culprit for some folks.
