For performance, get the CAI and Tuner combo!
I am still saving up some $$$ to get a tuner. SUX!!!

The SLP exhausts sound sweet on the GT's!!

for the CAI itself, I am a huge fan of using OEM stuff.

look into the Ford Racing setup. Pretty nice, and it fits like a glove

is it true that you basically get the same performance out of most of the CAI/tuner combos? or do certain CAI's perform better?

You won't get the same out of all of them of course. You will find some CAI that will give you a better flow, some won't overheat like others which make them much more durable.

But overall unless I'm wrong most CAI will give around the same hp gains combined with a tuner. What it will come down to if you're willing to spend the extra $$ for the hp you'll get in return.

Of course you still wanna stay away from those really cheap ones that won't last long.

Hopefully I can help out more to narrow your decision... I was stuck between steeda and JLT, I looked around for days trying to find out the difference and it really came down to personal preference.

Steeda and JLT you're getting the same performance I've been told that JLT give better flow, and with Steeda you're paying for the name also. So I'm ordering the part tomorrow and it's gonna JLT CAI combo.

With the Ford racing... (personal opinion) I'd only order that if your purpose to keep the warranty, you won't be getting as good performance as JLT and steeda but you won't lose your warranty. But if you get any problems with your car swap the stock with either JLT or the steeda that you get and you should be fine.

So in conclusion out of the three JLT or steeda... if you ask me? JLT.

I would say definitely get the exhaust, it's one of the most essential and noticeable things about your car and you can probably find a good used one for a couple hundred bucks.
