I've never heard them in person, but it does have a little diesel sound in all the videos.

 

When i had an O/R H with my BT at idle sounded like a diesel truck and just got worse from idle on up. But was fun ripping through town seeing people grab their ears, that never got old haha.

 

no don't add an off road with boom tubes way to loud sounds like a chevy truck lol

 

I have boomtubes and they definitely dont sound a like a diesel truck thats for sure... its old school muscle car sound.... dunno where everyones getting that from.

 

boomtubes basically cheat for the s197 sound..................no s197 should sound this good.


it pisses me off how awful they sound in ANY videos. theres a quality that just isn't picked up on video at all, and its unbelievably frustrating. in person, they're...............un****ingbelievable. you need to hear it in person before you make your decision. i've had mine for 1.5 years, and every time i hear my car from the outside, i can't help but giggle, its just so incredible how they sound.

and i have VERY sensitive tastes when it comes to this. with stock headers and h pipe, they are the best sounding exhaust for the s197 out there.

and i'll dare to say, even sound better than some 2v's. its a completely different sound, but just so satisfying to the ear.

 

they sound good with the stock h if you put an off road h on there it's dumb loud

 

How do you guys think it would sound with LTs and catted x?

I love the stingers, but the drone is annoying sometimes.

 

How about boom tubes with LTs and O/R X while we are at it? I also have Borla trumpeters...I mean stingers!

 

i love my booms! everyones tastes are going to be diffrent so you really cant go by someone elses opinion.they sound great and you definately turn some heads.i love that rumble.theres always a way to get around the dredded drone.diffrent speed ,turn your music up,they just make you feel good!!!from stock to boomtubes was the best thing i could have done for my car.now the s/c and we will be done.i think.

 

I would not recommend the boomtubes with any kind of setup without cats.... it will be retarded loud at that point IMO.... and even with the catted X I still wouldn't do it... cuz the boomtubes give off a sound more reminiscent of a h pipe setup exhaust... so maybe with a catted h pipe they would compliment the setup.
