I have the same but two connected together because some oil still gets past it and the second one captures it as well. I removed the silver crap in the middle. I heard that it actually hinders the oil capture.

Since these things seem to collect a tablespoon or two over a period of months - why doesn't anybody go the dirty route and just drip the stuff out of the bottom of the car?

Sounds bad, I know. But if you're only producing a table spoon in a couple of months it might only put out like a drop every few days - which is not much oil to be dripping on the road.

Every seen somebody do a drip method? Seems more practical.

I used a air/water separator from a air compressor (husky) and some tubing and a 90 degree turn. I think it was 3 dollars for the fuel line and 10 dollars for the separator and a dollar for the 90 degree turn. Takes about 10 minutes to install.
