Default Question about Blackout Panel

I installed my street scene blackout panel yesterday and it was a bit off center so I removed it today. I have removed all of the 3m tape from the panel and just purchased another roll. Is it ok to install the doublesided tape without the use of adhesion promoter? The rear of the trunk has been thoroughly cleaned and is free of wax. Has anyone else installed their panels without first using adhesion promoter?

I've installed my quarter window louvers, side scoops and rear blackout panel without using adhesion promoter. All I used was a solvent made for preping surfaces for taping. Everything has been on solid for almost 2 years and about 27,000 miles.

No, because you're taking chances with contamination, thus having the panel work its way lose little by little.
I even avoid finger prints...

And Nuke, that solvent you're talking about, is adhesion promoter.
It's not called this way, but it does the same thing. Like alcohol.
