Default Magnetic Drain Plug

Hi folks!

Just wanted to let everybody know that I got my oil changed the other day at the dealership. Had them use the magnetic drain plug I picked up. By the time they were finished everyone was going to lunch so didn't have a chance to ask many questions. They didn't give me any hassle about it and afterwards didn't say that there were any problems. The sheet I got says "USED CUSTOMER SUPPLIED DRAIN PLUG", so I guess it worked OK.

Here are the specs on what I had them use: 14MM-1.5. I picked it up at www.magneticdrainplugs.com, code 1002M. I believe it was $2.98, but they are Canadian and so are their prices.

It's been a few days and I haven't noticed any leaks and all the gauges read good (have the IUP). I sort of ordered this thing blind taking one that worked on the old 4.6L engines so I was concerned about it working. Thought I'd share the experience and specs with everyone since I haven't been able to find this info elsewhere.

Certainly can't hurt to have one. Thanks for the link.
