Default Bama Chips

Hey guys I need your advise on this company. I placed an order over 2 weeks ago and I have sent 3 emails asking about the status of my order. I have not heard back from them and I even try calling and it rings a few times and goes to voicemail. I just hope that I didnt get scammed.

Doug will get back with you but, you have to give him some time. He is a great guy but has a lot on his plate.

you didn't get scammed...but this is a very common theme in the tuning industry

You're lucky it has only been a few weeks. A few of the tuners for the F-150 community commonly take upwards of 6 MONTHS to get you your tunes.

Are you getting custom custom tunes? or just custom canned tunes? Usually the major Tuners can crank out a Custom Canned tune for your car in a day or so. They keep an entire stock of PCM profiles ready to load up and e-mail out.

How did you place your order? Did you ever talk with a real person? I would see about getting a status update that way. I personally will never do business with a company that won't at least answer their damn phone or offer some sort of interaction.

It's been a month since I asked them for an updated tune.

No luck yet!

First set of tunes I got from Bama took about a month (that was back in 2007).
I had some issues with them and was concerned given the problems I had trying to get in contact to get a status on the initial order.
Doug responded to my email within 24 hours and the next morning I was on the phone with him while he was tweaking the tunes and re-sending.
About 6 months later the stealership 'stealth' upgraded my strat code so again I contacted Doug and he had updated tunes to me the next day.
Now, that was ~2 years ago so I can only imagine how busy he is these days.
I guess my point is it's worth the wait; Doug's pretty cool and very responsive once you get his attention.
Patience, Grasshopper.

It's not a scam. I ordered a SCT and custom tunes from Doug a couple months back and it took about 4 weeks to recieve them. For me it was because the SCT was on backorder which I didn't know but Doug got back to me a few days after I emailed him.

I ordered on July 27th and haven't recieved my order yet. I ordered an SCT X3.

What irks me is that they showed they had 1021 SCT X3's in stock at the time of my order. That is misleading.

I can't wait to get my tune, I'm sure it will be great. I plan to talk up the tune, but I will also let people know they must be patient.
