Man all I do is spray it down with some Greased Lightning... Let it soak, spray it once more and hose it off. Let the water dry and wipe any water spots. Takes 10 minutes if that.

Yeah I don't have a pic, but if you keep a weekly schedule to just wipe it down, it doesn't get that dirty, even in the winter.

These are some great tips. Is there a specific product to wipe it down with other than tire shine? Like a detailer specifically for the engine?

I've been using a used microfiber with Zaino's Perfect Tire Gloss and some tire foam cleaner with a little bit of water

Works great with getting all of the plastic/rubber parts and hoses in the engine sparkly clean

If you don't like the extreme shine, armor all makes a natural finish too. I find the shiny stuff attracts dust more.

I use the Meguiar's detailer for rubber and plastic trim. It offers some shine, without overdoing it.

If you prefer a real glossy version, they offer that as well.

I use Black Magic 2 in 1 engine cleaner & shine aerosol..
bought it from advanced auto parts and I just love it.
Breaks away any grease ( from sloppy oil changes ) dust, sand dirt goes away and the shine after I rinse it looks like I just sprayed armor all all over the engine compartment.
I love it
