Door handle sticking?!?

This is a known issue with the S197. Requires replacing the door handle to fix.

If you're still under warranty, it'll be covered.

not under warranty, what is the problem with them that you are speaking of?

There's a spring built into the back of the door handle assembly, and retracts it that last 1/4".

The pin that retains the spring or the plastic surrounding it tends to break, leaving the door handle not able to retract itself.

mine was staying open like all the way, but i wonder if its because that piece broke and is jamming up the works.

i gotta go pick up some silicon spray and if that doesn't do it the panel is coming off.

this is retarded though, the car is friggen 3 years old and door handles should be made more durable than that.
