Default Bike Rack solutions?

I love my 05 GT but currently it's my only vehicle. I also like mountain biking and it's a hassle to put the bike in the trunk. According to Yakima their trunk racks won't work on the 05 mustangs. Something about how the way it has to sit the trunk sheet metal isn't strong enough. They said a roof rack is possible but I'm a little sceptical and would rather not have the wind noise. I checked Thule's website and they say theirs will work. Can anyone confirm this? What are other 05 owners using? Thanks.

Default RE: Bike Rack solutions?

I have been waiting for a hidden hitch type since I don't want anything rubbing against the trunk or roof. I would not even consider cutting the bumper so it would have to hang below. If one doesn't come out I might try to make something up that I can just pull a couple pins and take the receiver off. I have to take a look and see if there is room. It wouldn't have to be real strong, just enough for the rack and a bike.
