PAINTED VALVE COVER PICS........

That looks really nice with the shiny whipple against the blue (almost grabber blue) valve covers against the red. Very nice combo.
One thing though...that hose running over the whipple really should be moved. It looks kind of weird going over the top. But I think the instructions say to do that if I remember correctly.
Everytime I see a pic of a polished whipple it makes me want to buy one. Maybe once my car is paid for in a year...

It really depends how clean it looks. A crinkle red (like Honda B18C5 valve covers) or a powdercoated black can be nice. But baby nursery blue, or lime green etc is just so over the top to me. I'm glad some folks enjoy it though. I have to say, this thread has inspired me to do crinkle black on mine.
Must not be old enough to remember the real hot rod motors Chevy Orange, Ford Blue, Hemi.....well who remembers Dodge anyway..LOL

Man that Red jumps out and grabs you. I was kinda leaning towards Blue, but that Red.......
I saw somebody on here had a set of Black ones that had Ford Racing in flames on it, that looked pretty sweet, but I can't find them now.

Ok, here's a little hit to the people who've painted theirs. These cam covers(not valve covers) are made of magnesium. Painting them will look good for a few months, but magnesium is a very porus metal, and painting them will result in very short term results. The paint will eventually start flaking off after several months. Powder coating gives much better results. The painted covers look good now, but will go to crap soon. I have been through this with mine, and after researching why the flaking happened, i learned that you either have to plate them or powder coat them.

C'mon now... Yeah CAM Covers, I only call them Valve covers for the sake of the ignorant.
Anyways, Though your theory may be true, but I can say that I am going on a year and a half with Paint and no flaking...
So how short term are you talking???
