Finally got her back!!!
A couple months ago I got stuck in a hail storm and was hit really bad. Well I finally got her back from repair this weekend. We ordered a new rear badge because the old tape that holds it on was not usable, so that's why it's not on at the moment.
Most people have disagreed with my decision to remove the rear spoiler, but I like it. It was either put a more "functional" wing on it or remove it, and I talked myself out of getting a new one. I got a new truck lid, so no holes had to be covered.
New stock hood, decided against an aftermarket hood because I couldn't find any I really liked. I didn't want fiberglass and there isn't much else to choose from, plus I love the simple lines and look of the stock hood.
Stripes painted on, I really struggled over this one. I decided on dark shadow grey, a color used in previous stangs. I had a blue picked out, and I think it would have looked good, but not the more classic look I was looking for.
Hood pins, Ford racing ones that are stainless steel. For some reason they are too short. I'm not sure if it's the way they are installed or if that's just how it is, but the bottom nut is only half way threaded, with no room to spare. Until I find a longer stud that will work it will have to do.

RE: Finally got her back!!!
I'm glad you finally got your GT back!
It looks good without that wing... but yes, you need that badge on the rear end.
Do I not see then or do you have the cables attached to the hood pins?

RE: Finally got her back!!!
You are seeing correctly, no cables attached. I really didn't want anything to rub against the paint so I opted to go without. Plus I like the clean look with nothing hanging off the car.
Professor - yes I missed her and she knew it by me coming in and checking on her all the time, I let her know I'm glad she's back by driving her all day yesterday 250+ miles just to buy a damn hockey stick that I didn't really need. And indeed she did purrr... but I was relatively easy on her, no redline yesterday.
I went to work today in my old pickup and everyone asked where it was, I told them it's safe in my garage from the hail, bird crap, snow, rocks, idiot drivers and any other debris that could end up hurting her again. But it looks like I'm going to race a guy at work tomorrow with a 97 cobra, supercharged. I should get beaten easily but it will still be fun to do. I bet mine will turn more heads then his will anyways[8D]
