Ok so I just did mine for kicks. Retail just shy of $21k, Private Party just over $18k. I have 5spd/cloth/etc.

...auto/leather/stereo/etc is coming up just shy of $22k, and Private Party of about $19k

...fully loaded convert is coming up $22.5 and $20k flat

All of these are with 50000 miles each.

Just for fun...
same cars with 10k miles (retail/private party):
-21.3k/18.8
-21.9/19.4
-23.5k/21k

Mileage made all of no difference at all. I'm confused how I got $25xxx retail on the vert retail last time I checked though lol
OK cool thanks. I was looking private party so I guess that's the difference. Are you looking at "Excellent Condition" or "Good Condition"?

Excellent of course.

Condition will kill KBB value for sure.

some of you guys are up in the night, totally up in the night actually, to say an '05 with an SC any SC for that matter is worth anywhere near close to 22k is smoking crack, sorry to be blunt it just is. I could buy a new '09 right now premium for around 22k, brand new!!!!!! 0 miles and no mods, 4 years newer and 50kmiles less, in the color of my choosing etc.

I have seen '05 GT's for less than 13k with around 50k miles. I saw an '07 premium gt with 30k miles go for 16k, so how is an 05 with 50k and a bunch of mods worth 22k?? you can find prices all over the map but it doesn't mean the cars are selling.

for what its worth, I say the car alone is worth about 14k sold to a private party, depending on the area, to the right person the mods might be worth another 2k, so 16k if your lucky to the right person

here are 18, 05 GT's on autotrader for under 15k, not to be rude but some around here need to get realistic

I prefer DMT...talk about "tripping"... :-P

As to the other post, it all matters on the car and the audience. I've heard of perfectly good GT's going for 13k, and I personally know people who have sold modded GT's for more than $50k (not a mis-type) in the last year.

Cars are going for dirt cheap right now because of market forces...people needing the cash and willing to low-ball the value to get it over with.

In my humble opinion, the value of a great-condition GT in near-stock trim is probably around 17k-18k in a place like southern California, and the poster's vehicle should probably be able to fetch a little over $20k. Will it sell in 48 hours? Probably not.

...but just because people are willing to part for $13k doesn't mean that's what it's "worth" necessarily, and most of the numbers in this thread are taken from reliable valuation sources.

:-)

a side note, I might be interested in this car myself, however they claim the wheels are factory, is there any way the wheels on this car are factory??

do you consider KBB to be a reliable source?

because I certainly do not.

KBB is a great tool for a SELLER. But it will screw buyers. They inflate their valuations. Typically about $2,000 more than what vehicles are actually going for.

A more reliable pricing service is NADA, or Edmunds. Even they will be somewhat high.

To get a no **** comparable pricing, you need access to the Dealership Auction network. There you can pull up the pricing of cars for roughly the last 6 months and what Dealerships are paying at Auction.

Anything else is just crap. Pure and simple. It's a number artificially created. And since KBB & Edmunds are funded by the Car Dealerships...who do you think they'll side on?

btw, I still think about $17,000 is about as fair a price as you'll get. IMO you should strip the RIMs/Blower and sell them. Then sell a stock-ish GT for about $14k. You'll end up ahead IMO vice waiting and waiting for some idiot to pay you $22k for your 5 yr old car
