new pics with the stripes
My Mustang had dealer vinyls on the decklid when I bought it... Before I left the lot, I peeled them off and handed them back to the salesman who sold me the car lol. He laughed about it and told me he wouldn't have them on his car either.
Your car looks great! Very nice color choice on the stripes.

I agree, I need to get the Dealer plate frame off. I kinda forgot about it as I'm having so much fun with the new Stang. The dealer name sticker was removed before I left their lot. They are a very big dealership group and have several locations with the different brands, one brand per location, a few different Ford locations, one that just bought my neighbor's Subaru dealership...that location now sells Ford and Subaru. The Nissan shop is seperate as is the Lexus (a beautiful building). Gotta find a pair of good looking plate frames.
I'm a retired NJ Trooper, 53 with kids in college & high school and frankly I don't really care what anyone thinks about me driving a car like this as long as I enjoy it. After all, nobody else is helping me pay for it. The most common comments I get are: 1- Wow, nice car, 2-What is that, your mid-life crisis car ?
My answers: 1-thanks, I really like it too;
2-Yes it is, ain't it great !
After a very serious diagnosis & trying pancreas surgery/complications this past winter I decided that once I got a very rare very positive outcome it was time for me to stop putting off getting my next Mustang...my last was a 1979. I am very, very lucky and got a REAL BIG wakeup call about how short life is and how quickly it can end. On top of that I blew out my knee, got it fixed, blew it out again then got it fixed again all in the last 10 months.
This new Stang is everything I've been waiting for while raising a family. I should be able to look forward to driving it for many years to come.
Stripes were put on by a local automotive graphics shop that comes very highly recommended. They also do a majority of the Mustang stripes in the area and do work for the local Ford dealerships also. Very professional little shop. High end 3M materials is what the use. They were excited to do mine because it was their first 2010 Mustang.

I know what you mean. When I brought mine home my wife said I was going thru a mid-life crisis because I am 55. I am still working, however, having to send 3 kids to college in a few years.
I have seen alot of talk about how the new Mustangs are apealing to people 40 and more. I hope it doesn't get the nickname of mid-life crisis car!
I had a shop put stripes on my car and they used the 3M stuff too. I was told it has like a 10-12 year warantee.

I recently read where the average age of a new Mustang buyer is 45 and 80% are male. Who cares anyway?
Tricky, glad to hear that you had the positive outcome and how frickin' cool that you responded to that with a new 'Stang. Enjoy!

Love the stripes! I hope to have mine on by the end of next week. I'm going through a guy that does it for the dealership. He's busy as hell so I have to wait for him to free up. I'm going with silver / brushed aluminum stripes on my white stang.
