My "stripe guy" is taking his sweet *** time telling me when he can do it. He's charging 400 bucks less than the dealer so I guess I can't be too impatient right? Hopefully soon I'll have pics to put on here with the silver stripes.

 

Wow, that Torch red looks really good with silver stripes too. I haven't seen any of the Torch Red in person, only the metallic red.

Yeah, I know with the RAIDERS plates you'd think I'd have a black Stang, and I did consider that too, but I've had black in recent years and once I saw the Kona Blue I was sold. A change of pace and I like the metallic paint in blue. AND besides, the way the Raiders have been playing the past several years I'm a little down on them...still a fan but not quite as rabid as I once was. I got the RAIDERS plates when I bought a new black & grey Avalanche back in 2002.

As you can see, I'm nowhere near Oakland, California but I was a kid when I became a Raiders fan....mainly because I loved their black and silver uniforms...that's how young I was, and it didn't hurt that they were winning alot back then. My dream is to one day see a Raiders game in person but it's impossible to get tickets to a Giants game and I would be taking my life in my hands if I cheered for the Raiders at an Eagles home game. This would be the year, Raiders are playing the NFC East this year. Besides, I spent all my money on my new Mustang !

 

$400 less? How much do those things cost???

 

Well, the Ford dealers I've contacted want about 900 bucks total (stripes then labor), and my stripe guy is charging me 500 for everything.

 

alright, i fired my stripe guy today for again not having the samples for me. i ordered some online and will have a local graphics shop install it for me. i ordered some extra stuff for the side so i'm sure it's going to turn out great.

Maybe Sterling Grey stripes on kona blue. too subtle?

 

Here's the style I'm going with. I think the side "c" stripes are pretty cool, so we'll see how it looks.... Mine are silver but you get the idea. Also, my hood stripes will go all the way under the front bumper:

Yes ! I really like those c stripes on the sides too. I'd love to see what silver c stripes would look like on Kona blue because I REALLY think they look great on the Grabber blue.

And obviously I agree the stripe going all the way down look better.

 

I have a question - Is there something wrong with the stripes from the factory? I could see why a guy would want custom stripe, but are the factory order stripes on the GT Premium okay? I am thinking about the factory white stripes on Kona Blue.
