A loss in the mid and low range, while causing additional rattling in the door area. The highs were better, though. Everything was very tight, I reinstalled everything probably 3 or 4 times but was never happy.

Maybe foam around the edge like on the stockers would help the rattling?

I'm really loving the way the Pioneers sound. The highs, in particular.

To stop the rattle in the door panels, try the dynamat extreme speaker kit. It should sound much better with them in place.

These, but I got them from Amazon marketplace for ~$100. The separation is a lot better, too. The stockers sounded pretty muddy as far as imaging. I actually think they are comparable to the JL components in my previous car.

I have a 10" pioneer premier sub from my last car...absolutely loved it...good hit, but extremely clear...I was looking at the component speakers for later down the road once I finally get my Mustang (whenever it does arrive)...looks like you made a good choice =)
