I've had their 93 tune, and it's garbage. Fred is a douche too.

 

Do you have a story or two, or is name calling and rumor spreading your game?

 

Dealt with Fred back when I lived in New Jersey.

Couple guys (from the forums) went to his shop for a Dyno-day. We all had Brenspeed tunes, so naturally he was bad mouthing about Brenspeed and saying that his tunes cause this and that (problems that is) and how Evolution's tune is superior.

So he put our cars on the Dyno, and we got ****ty numbers... Go figure. Then he talked us all into trying out his tune, where we had 25hp increases over Brenspeed tunes alone. So yeah, naturally I'm like. "Hey, +25hp, I'll take it!" He also talked me into buying resonators from him, and getting a A/F bung welded into my O/R H pipe $240 for the two to be done... All I wanted was to get my A/F checked on the dyno, and he told me that can't be done unless I had the bung. Even though everyone can easily check from the tail pipe but he argued me on that. (This was years ago, I've gotten smarter since then)

Also, he never gave us print outs of our dyno sheets. Just a print out that said "You made X hp and X tq." I questioned him on that days later and he was like "When you come to get the exhaust work done, I'll put you back on the dyno for a free run" only to find out that the Dyno was broken when I went there, and he never told me till I got there.

He's a real sleeze ball, and a liar... About that +25 HP... Yeah, a lie. I've had my car Dynoed at VMP Tuning and the Brenspeed tune is by far superior, and it showed at the drag strip too.
