How do you guys keep from curbing your chins??
#11
I have slammed mine into curbs, scraped it on steep driveways and it has a nice crack in it now. So I bought a can of flat black and some sand paper and fixed it.. I probably need to care more but am sure I will eventually rip the lower lip all the way off.

Your car doesn't have the range finder on the front. Damn, may want to read your manual to learn how to activate it.
But in case your just don't have that option you may want to just learn to drive. If that still isn't an option. May I suggest you get some curb feelers.

How much did it cost you to add it over the cdc chin?

I had a pretty rough learning curve after lowing mine, scraped the hell out of it a few times. Not the cheapest mistake, but it gives me the excuse to shop a new fascia/chin spoiler.
Just like everyone said, practice parking a foot back and be mindful of your stance...

I've hit a cement parking stop and had to get out touch up paint.
Also I need to drive up on wood blocks to get the floor jack under my car. I forgot and let it down without the blocks.

I see people scrape going out of parking lots with normal cars and then I go over it and don't even scrape the front bumper. Its all about how you take the bump. Everyone in my family doesnt want to lower their mustang because they are afraid they will scrape because they do at stock height. But like I said its all about how you drive.
Never pull up to parking blocks anyway, its a bad habit since some of them are different height and some have the rebar sticking up too high and can cause scratches. Also take speed bumps slow or sometimes at an angle if they are very large. If you go too fast you will bottom out the suspension when it drops after the front tires.
