Just bought some BBK chrome shortys from a member here simply because it was such a good deal. Im wondering if i must get a tune when i install them or if i can do without. If i do need one it can be a canned tune correct? I dont have alot of spare cash for a tuner at the moment but i couldnt pass up brand new shortys for $80 shipped.

Also do i have to have o2 extension or are the simply recommended?

With shorty headers, you wont need a new tune or 02 extensions. Only one 02 sensor is mounted in the stock exhaust manifolds and in the shorty headers, it is located in the exact same location.

Sweet, i suppose i can install them soon and worry about CAI and a tuner later.
Do you guys think i will notice much of a difference without tuning? Im keeping my eye out for a tuner that i can afford.

Shorties provide minimal gain. You may not feel it on the butt dyno, however some do. With or without the shorties, a tune will feel awesome. The shorties don't do anything more with a tune. But every pony counts. Nice deal.
