Best CAI & Tuner Combo?
#21
To answer your question, Bone stock my 2010 made no more power, I've had my car on the dyno 5 or 6 times now, trying tunes, the car feels MUCH faster, but on the dyno and at the track, it's not, if your thinking of just doing a tune, save your money, my next step is ported heads, cams, and LT headers,
The two dynos I have seen have made some gains from just a tune. One was on a stock car and peaked 9whp with no less then 7whp across the entire rpm.
C&L's dynos state they were after the "no tune" intake and they only picked up 4whp from a tune. But gained around 9whp from the intake alone.
What tunes did you try and have you posted your numbers?

Well glad to know a tune alone can add additional HP. So with that said, is it worth $379 for 7-9whp for a tuner? Is it worth $600 for tuner and cai for (guessing here) 15-25whp?
On a side note a tuner seems to smooth out the throttle response from what people have said, that may be worth buying the tuner alone. I am not a fan of the what feels like throttle lag. lol
