Default New Wheels

I'm looking at getting these wheels/tires for winter driving on my 2006 GT convertible.

Wheels:
Liquid Metal
Venom
17X7.55-100/11440GBM
http://www.liquidmetalwheel.com/venom_black.html

Tires:
Michelin
X-Ice Xi2
235/55R17XL 103T BSW

Anyone know of anything good or bad about them? Any comments on how these wheels may look on the car?

Thanks,
Ron

If you're getting dedicated winter tires, I'd get a cheap set of wheels or a set of takeoffs for them. No sense putting a decent wheel that'll get ruined from salt and other traction chemicals.

BTW, that's apretty skinny wheel. Have you verified that a 235 will fit? I'm lazy this morning...

DiscountTire.com has an "interactive wheel system" that I just came across yesterday. Select your vehicle and color, then select the wheel. They have this wheel as one of the options, but I only see the 17", not 18".

I just checked it out again, They show the Venom in 3 or 4 different finishes. including the 18" with the silver machined face $149, while all the 17"s are $134

The OP has picked a 17" tire.
