I can believe the sales. Here most of the 2010 Mustangs are still on the lots. I do alot of driving and I'm lucky if I see 1 2010 Mustang for every 3 Camaros.

I hardly ever see either. I've only seen two new Camaros on the road. I've seen about 6-8 '10 Stangs and 4 or 5 Challengers.

I think the economy is killing the sales, not the "leak". If the economy actually does improve next year, sales will take off. If not, I'd say you'd see a small increase in sales (especially among GT's with the 5.0).

Hopefully, we'll all find out!

My point exactly. In order for the Mustang to remain a viable option for muscle car buyers, Ford HAS TO increase the HP of the GT and still price it competitively with the Camaro. If they do a special edition as some are speculating for $1000's more than the GT, they might as well hand Camaro the title.

They care about sales.

The Camaro has outsold the Mustang for 4 straight months now (first time in history).

Sept. 09 sales:
Camaro - 7,961
Mustang - 4,917

That isn't even close in sales figures.

Now, there are several things working here -- unfulfilled Camaro orders from all the hype, and smart Mustang buyers waiting for the '11. But, it makes a huge statement that Ford must step up the power (which it is) and still keep the price competitive.
