Default Wheel weight

I do track days a few times a year and I have a chance to purchase some take-off GT500 wheels to install on my 06GT

I have used the Saleen 20s on the track and after gaining some experience I could really feel the extra weight when braking

I went back to my stock 18s and am somewhat happy but would like the wider tire in the back that the GT500 has

Is the GT500 stock wheel considered heavy?

Would I be better off finding a different set of rears and just purchase them?

Thanks,

I don't know what your stock wheels are but the stock 17" Bullits weigh about 21.6 lbs. I see the SVT GT500 listed as 26 lbs but I had thought I saw 28 lbs back when I bought mine.

BTW, this site is selling 4 for $475: http://www.blueovalindustries.com/pr...?catID=9902324

The Saleen wheels are really heavy so hence why you felt a difference. Going from the stock GT wheel to the GT500 wheel shouldn't be as dramatic.
