Default Problem with tune

After I installed my headers, I got a tune from AM since it's where I ordered my tuner from. Everything was working fine for a week or so then I got the check engine light with error P0153, before calling I checked for any leaks, everything looked good.

So I called them up told them the problem, Dan sent me another tune within 20 min which was awesome, it fixed the problem. Then another week went by got another error P0133, they agreed again to send me another tune, which was sent by Ryan.

For some reason this week I get another error... P0153 I call them up they say there's something wrong with the car it's no longer the tune.

So help me out here, could it be really the car even tho it's two different errors, or is it possible that since I got the tune from two different people something got mixed up along the way.

No offense but I'd trash the AM tunes. Call Brenspeed and explain the situation. My bet is their tech guys will know what you need. You'll have to pay for their tunes but I think you'll be happier with the additional performance over the AM tune.

For the love of god, do some research before posting. Nuke, you generally know your stuff but in this case were quick to jump the gun.

P0153 http://www.obd-codes.com/p0153
P0133 http://www.obd-codes.com/p0133

Based on the fact the Headers were just put on i'm going with he missed somethign on the 02 sensors. I've done the same thing too. Turned out with my install one of the 02 wire harness was not secured and hand melted against the exhaust.

They are sensor related, not tune related.

Check the O2 sensors themselves for pinched, broken, loose, or even disconnected wires. It's not the tune.

P.S both faults are for the FRONT o2 sensors, not the rear. If it were the rear, i'd say the tune. Front=install issue.

Check your installation but if the problem still continues you need Brenspeed tunes

You evidently missed my point. Regardless, Brenspeed would have also recommended that he check the hardware and that their tunes typically are still an improvement in performance. The fact that there was at least a week between CEL's makes me wonder if it really IS hardware related or the tune.

I read your point which is why I pointed out what I did.

I totally agree that Breenspeed will have superior performance over AM but before sending the OP out to spend more money, I would suggest he checks things over himself first. Who knows when he'll get around to contacting them. Checking the O2 sensors takes 2 minutes tops and resolves the immediate problem. Besides, it's good practice to troubleshoot it himself first.

No argument with that thought process. I stand "somewhat" corrected (a hard head from day one...).

I did check everything that's what I said earlier, there's no harm in checking again, but I wouldn't say it's the tune's fault without checking the install first, because I know the tune won't fix any hardware problems.

And yes I did google both errors and I know exactly what they mean. It'll have to wait until this weekend which isn't too far from now.

EDIT: I know I didn't specify the O2 sensors per say but when I said everything looked good I was talking about them along with any other possible problem.

in this case, i am leaning towards a faulty o2 sensor or damaged one;however,Nuke has an excellent point about ditching any AM tune, call Brenspeed.
