From The Netherlands Vortec or Saleen
Hi Guys HOw are you??
Very bad weather in The Netherlands so i have some time extra to think which supercharger ,i think it will be Vortec ..there is an company who work with Vortec high Output and have installed it before...
somebody told me to put other gears with an vortec ....but i see also on forums problems with gear whine....so i am not sure about that...
Can somebody tell me if the saleen stage 2 brenspeed is more expensive with the gasoline then vortec...because it is very expensive here already...
Does the saleen drops in power when you drive about 80 mile?? that is what i most drive here so that is why i think i am going for vortec..

Hi Ralph,
I can't speak for the Saleen, but I did have the Vortec HO S/C on my 2005 Mustang GT for almost 4 1/2 years before I sold the car and it was awesome!
It was professional installed and dyno tuned for realistic every day power. The car base-lined at 265rwhp and when they got finished, it was at 425rwhp/404rwtq @ 8.11psi on a Mustang Dyno. The boost would start building at around 2,800rpm and just continue from there until red-line, pulling ever step of the way. My 2005 GT came stock with 3.55's in the rear and it was a great balance for both highway driving and "get up and go". I was told by many that 4.10's would make my car a beast, but then I talked to several people who told me that I would lose the balance that I currently had. 4.10's would be freakin awesome from a dead stop, but once I got on the highway, I was told my car would run higher RPMs when traveling 80mph-85mph. I then looked into 3.73's, thinking this might be a good middle ground, but when I talked to my performance shop, they told me going from a 3.55 to a 3.73 was just not worth the money?? I ended up keeping the 3.55's until I sold the car.
Many people here put 4.10's in their car and love them. I just wasn't comfortable not knowing what I was going to be getting myself into and I didn't have anyone in the area with a similar set-up for me to see in person, to see whether I would like it or not.

Hey Ralph,
Our new company Pres. is from your neck of the woods.
With regard to Saleen:
I had a Stage II package put on my stock 05 GT in June. The package is remarkable. The S/C is very quiet. You hear it more in the cockpit than from outside the car. Just a little whirl sound, and some intake noise from the high flow Steeda CAI unit.
I contemplated going Vortec N/I but then changed my mind at the last minute and spent the extra cash. The results:
Dyno: 426 RWHP @ 409 T 1st pull
Dyno: 423 RWHP @ 407 T 2nd pull with 2 minute cool down.
The torque curve is the killer. From 2500 to 6200 ROM the torque varies little more then 50 ft/lb from the peak total on either pull. No need for gears. Running 3.55 stock differential setup.
The stage 2 package comes with 39lb injectors adnd a 3.6" pulley making 6.5 psi of boost. The tune is provided by Brenspeed (www.brenspeed.com).
Since my purchase this same group have started offering a package from edelbrock which is a little more efficient accordingl to their specs. Look them up. If these guys are selling it, it is good quality stuff.
