well since upgrading to a 05 gt 5 speed gt from a 05 vv auto. ive been learning how to drive stick. last night i finnaly decided to learn how to race. well i did pretty bad. everybody at the track was like what the hell are you doing. i did really bad. false staring. not starting. at one point i get up to the line and i hear this beep from my car and its saying the trunk is open. my best 8th was 10.5 sec. but ill get better as i learn. i did however beat a 2005 350 5 speed z. tyhats was cool. i beat a 05 v6 and a 04 salaro. i got whooped by a trans am. i guess after everyone realized this guy dont know how to drive the 05 gt. they all wanted to challege me to look cool. but ill get the hang of it

 

Hey man, that's fuggin awesome.

You'll def. learn to get the hang of it. the first time I ran at the track in my AUTO I improved over a full second.... just imagine how much better you'll do in the stick car.

The best thing you can do is practice your launches at home.

hey whats great, running at the track, i will say it was coool i just feel like i embarrred the car, but i still stompt the z soo i have that for bragging right. yea at the track all the people that worked thier really wanted me to stomp some cars. they kept coming up to me and telliong me what to try and different stuff. they did teach me alot. my first 3 runs i was lauching at 2k rpms maYBE AND THEY WHERE LIKE DONT DO THAT. i had the trac control on and they where like why. it was diffenately a good learning night

 

Good job!!!..Dont get frustrated at the track...everyone has to start somewhere and sometimes its even more pressure to do better knowing there is a crowd of folks watching ..Many years ago, my first expericne at the track was with my 92 notchback 5.0.. Lined up, looked up at the lights and got ready..Right after the 2nd stage light came on, my car started surging really bad to the point of going dead....So, by the time I got cranked and actually rolled out, the green had long since dropped ..very embarresing ..we all have em... On a different note I have yet to take my 05 to the track ..looking forward to that experince ...
