Default Rear axle noise

Hi guys
I have a 2006 Mustang GT. I have 59,000 miles on it and it has been driven a lot but not abused.
Lately I have been getting a lot of noise from the back of the car. Sounds like a humming noise. it is not the tires so I'm wondering if maybe my differential or bearings are worn out or maybe some other problem.

Has anyone had this problem with their car? Maybe some of you know what this noise is.

thanks for any help or insight!!

Mine is a 2008, and I have a slight whine from the rearend at around 65 mph when in fifth gear. I have gotten used to it. Mine did it from the factory. I think there may be a TSB on this
