Not at all NUKE. I really thought it was funny. I was just trying to get some more info on the tcs. The manual is pretty vague.

Unless there is something different about the 2010. There is no way brenspeed can tune the car so that it has TCS turned off by default while still allowing you to turn it back on by pressing the button. It's either off completely or that's IT.

I was going to post the mod to disable the TCS auto on function but the forum is acting up and it won't let me manage attachments at the moment. It works on the 05-09's. Not sure about the '10...

The relay? You can get them premade from ebay if you want to be lazy about it.

I'm going to get one someday when I really need it ala supercharger.

I think you have it backwards, you press the button any time to turn off TCS and stability control. You have to be stopped with your foot on the brake and hold down the traction control button and it will turn on sport mode.

This is at least how it is in my brother in laws car. It lets you get a little squirly, I guess safer than no TCS at all.

I had brenspeed turn TCS off by default in one of my tunes.

When the car started up the system was off as evidenced by the button itself and the fact little tire tracks in amber showed up in the car's display/guages. These tire tracks never go away and if you touched the button to try and turn the system back on there was no effect. It maintained lit status and was always off no matter what you did.

As far as I know there is no trick to turn it back on when it's setup like this through the tune.

Your car has Traction control, and Electronic stability control. There are more than three possible combination's of these two settings. The on/off/sport stuff people are talking about pertains to the TCS only (I think, read the book to confirm). It is possible to turn both TCS and ESM off completely.

What you say baffles me since:
  1. I was under the belief that TCS can not be turned off with a tune.
  2. When the TCS icon (car with tire tracks) lights, it means TCS is actively preventing wheel spin via one of it's methods. The only indication that TCS is truly disengaged is when you push the TCS button and it lights up.

I may give this a try. Set it to on or off and it stays there until you change it and no dash lights.

Edit: Found a better one, see my next post for link.

Here's the mod so it is off when you start the car but can then be turned on and off manually.

EDIT: I've never tried this but was told it works...
