Quick question about TCS
I just bought a 2010 GT. I was driving down a twisty road and I was in 2nd gear revved out (tcs off) went around this corner the *** end slid out a little bit and it seemed like the tcs took over and dropped the power(and I wasn't at the rev limiter). I don't have the track pack should of gotten it. Is there a way someone like brenspeed can tune the TCS? Do they turn it off completely with the button off and will it turn back on when you turn TCS?
Thanks....
Thanks....

If you had TCS off, then TCS did not take over and drop the power. Whatever you felt was not TCS. Brenspeed can't "tune" your TCS. They can program your car to where when you start your car the TCS is automatically turned off. Then if you wanted it on, you would just have to hit the button.

Ah I see, thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure if it was 100% turned off. I know on my jetta when you turn off the tcs(or ECS) it only turns it off 80% unless you have a tune. That would be nice to have it off at first and then turn it with the light on.

If I recall correctly, all 2010+ GT's have a total of three settings, on/sport/off.

It sounds like you were in Sport Mode. The GT has 3 settings.
On = No or Limited Fun
Sport = Safe Fun (A little tail out play allowed)
Off = Lot of fun and potentially a crash!
If you push the TCS button, you will be in Sport Mode. You have to HOLD the button for (I think 3 seconds???) in order to turn the TCS all the way Off.
The V6 has On/Off - No Sport Mode.

I wasn't aware that the '10 GT's had a 3 mode TCS. It's amazing what you can learn if you .
I'll keep saying it: The Owners Manual will NOT spontaneously burst into flames when exposed to light and/or the human eye.

And I hope you don't think I'm pointing you out. I've done it (and still do it). Something about the PC being in front of us and the OM being about 30 steps away... The PC seems to win despite all of us knowing we'll get flamed (usually in jest) for not R'ing TFM.
